Al Raiee starts juicy and green, crisp apple laced with davana and its odd, wine-and-apricot tang. The middle fills out with velvety damask rose and apricot-toned osmanthus, held in line by clean cedar so it never tips into anything floral or fussy. The base is the bit you keep sniffing your own wrist for: creamy vanilla absolute and tonka bean wrapped around earthy patchouli, sweet and resinous and slow to let go.

It is fruity to begin with and properly warm by the end, which makes it work in the office by day and on evenings and date nights once the temperature drops. Best across autumn, winter and spring.

How to wear

Spray 2-3 times on pulse points (wrists, neck, chest) from about 15cm away. Apply to moisturised skin and don't rub, so the apple and davana opening stays crisp. A light mist on a jumper or jacket keeps the vanilla and patchouli base close by.
