There is no build-up here. Ashaab Vanilla puts vanilla on the skin immediately, and only a sliver of bergamot stops the opening sitting flat. That citrus lift lasts a few minutes, just long enough to give the sweetness somewhere to come from.

The heart thickens it. Vanilla pod brings the dark, seedy, slightly smoky side of the bean rather than the ice-cream side, honey adds a waxy golden weight, and rosewood threads a rosy, resinous grain through the middle so it never turns into plain sugar.

The dry-down is broader and softer. Vanilla absolute deepens everything, amber glows underneath, suede lends that brushed, skin-like texture, and ambroxan polishes the finish into a clean, creamy warmth that stays close.

Cold weather is where it shines, on autumn and winter evenings especially, though it is comforting enough to wear any day. Shared happily between men and women.

How to wear

Spray 2-3 times on pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) from about 15cm away. Apply to moisturised skin and don't rub, so the bergamot stays bright over the sweetness. A light mist on a collar keeps the honey and suede with you into the evening.
