Caramel cooked dark, cooling in the pan.

There is no bright opening here, and that is rather the point. Córdoba Glory begins on caramel that has been taken past golden - buttery, a little burnt at the edges, with nothing sharp cutting across it.

Coumarin and honey take the middle. Coumarin brings a hay-like, almond-tinged warmth while honey rounds off the corners, and between them they stop the caramel from going flat. There is a faint dustiness to it that keeps the sweetness in check.

The finish is quiet. Vanilla smooths the whole thing over and clean white musk pulls it in close, so the last stretch reads creamy and soft rather than loud, more of a warmth on the skin than a trail.

This is cold-weather wear through and through. Autumn and winter suit it, and it carries from an ordinary weekday into a night out without changing its character. Either a him or a her can wear it.

How to wear

Spray 2-3 times on pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) from about 15cm away. Apply to moisturised skin and don't rub, so the caramel and honey stay rounded. A light mist on a jumper keeps the vanilla close all day.
