Please read this first: one box, two pieces. Inside you get the 100ml (3.4 fl oz) Creme Couture Lovely Latte Eau de Parfum spray and a separate 10ml (0.34 fl oz) concentrated perfume oil roll-on of the same scent. The roll-on has no atomiser - it glides straight onto the skin.

The opening is dark cocoa and warm milk chocolate, brightened by a flick of Italian lemon and a juicy rush of Pink Lady apple, strawberry and nectarine blossom, so the sweetness arrives with a bit of daylight behind it. The middle turns properly dessert-like: chocolate fudge, toasted pink marshmallow and soft coconut flakes, with orange blossom keeping a petal of freshness in the mix. It settles slow and cosy on whipped vanilla, sugar, caramel and a clean creamy woody musk.

Having both pieces gives you two ways to wear it. The Eau de Parfum spray is for reach - a few mists on pulse points before you head out. The oil is for closeness and control, rolled on the wrists and throat when you want the cocoa and vanilla sitting quietly against the skin, or dabbed over the spray to make the gourmand base last further into the evening.

How to wear

Spray the Eau de Parfum two or three times on moisturised pulse points - wrists, throat, behind the ears - from about 15cm, and leave it to settle rather than rubbing it in, so the cocoa and lemon stay distinct. Roll the oil on afterwards in a thin line at the wrists and collarbone; it is concentrated, so a light pass is plenty. Keep the roll-on in a bag or pocket for a quiet top-up later on.
