Leather Brun doesn't ease you in. It opens raw and hide-like, all tanned leather with a hot, peppery bite of ginger running through it. Then something unexpected happens: jasmine and apricot-toned osmanthus soften the middle until the leather feels more like suede than saddle. The base is deep and resinous - church-incense olibanum, sticky labdanum and earthy patchouli - the kind of dry-down that lingers on a coat collar.
