Tart hibiscus and blackcurrant, a cool flick of spearmint through the rose, then vanilla and soft leather underneath - it should not work this well, and it does.

The opening is sharp in the best way. Hibiscus gives a sour, red-fruit tartness with a papery floral edge, blackcurrant adds that inky, slightly green depth, and a dusting of cinnamon warms the seams so the fruit never reads as plain juice.

Then comes the twist. A rose heart on its own would be predictable, but spearmint cuts straight through it with a cold, leafy lift - the effect is a crushed mint leaf held against a petal, and it stops the rose from going jammy. Lily of the valley softens the join between the two with something dewy and white.

Underneath, it settles into warmth. Vanilla rounds off the tart fruit, benzoin brings a resinous, faintly caramelised sweetness, and leather runs through the base as smooth, worn-in suede rather than anything harsh.
