Lamar opens crisp. Pear leads, green-skinned and juicy rather than candied, and tangerine and bergamot throw a bit of sunlight across it. The first few minutes are bright and clean, the sort of opening that wakes a room up.

The middle is a proper white floral bouquet, but a polished one. Orange blossom and neroli give it that honeyed, slightly waxy petal quality, and jasmine sambac fills in behind them with something richer and rounder. Pretty, without ever being girlish.

Where it ends is the reason to keep it on. Bourbon vanilla and benzoin turn soft and balsamic, amber warms the whole thing from below, and clean white musk smooths the edges into a comfortable finish on the skin.

Autumn and winter suit it especially well, though the citrus keeps it wearable all year round. Good for work, good for dinner, good for a slow Sunday.

How to wear

Spray 2-3 times on pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) from about 15cm away. Apply to moisturised skin and don't rub, so the pear and tangerine stay lively. A light mist on a collar keeps the orange blossom and vanilla within reach.
