LeBlanc Aurora opens tart and wide awake: bergamot and mandarin, bitter orange pulling the sweetness back, and green apple snapping across the top of it all. The middle turns quietly elegant - violet brings a soft powdery blur while cardamom adds a dry, warm prickle of spice that stops the fruit going sugary. Then the wood arrives and stays: Atlas and Virginia cedarwood, dry and faintly resinous like a freshly sharpened pencil, smoothed out by cashmere wood so it sits close and clean on the skin.

This is a daylight scent. It holds up at a desk, on the school run and over a long lunch, and it reads as tidy rather than loud. Spring and summer suit it most. Made for men and women.

How to wear

Spray 2-3 times on pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) from about 15cm away. Skin that has been moisturised holds the citrus open for longer, so apply after a shower and leave it to settle rather than rubbing it in. One spray into the air as you button a shirt gives you the powdery wood without the sharp edge.
