A groomed aromatic fougere with a juicy pineapple lift and a salt-and-moss finish - Royal Plumage is the sharp, well-turned-out one.

It opens the way a good barbershop scent should, with lavender and mint snapping against lemon and bergamot, and then the pineapple arrives and changes the mood entirely. That fruit is the signature: bright, slightly tart, juicy without being sticky, and it keeps the herbal top from reading old-fashioned.

Underneath, the structure turns cool and open-air. Vetiver brings a dry, rooty green, a sea breeze accord lifts a salty freshness through it, rosemary echoes the aromatic opening, and violet softens the whole middle with a powdery, almost metallic edge. The effect is windswept rather than tropical - shoreline, not beach bar.

How to wear

Spray onto clean, dry skin at the throat and wrists, plus one burst at the chest under an open collar where body heat will push the citrus and pineapple outward. Three or four sprays is plenty. It is at its best in daylight and warm weather, and works just as well for a shirt-and-jacket evening; reapply lightly in the late afternoon if you want the fresh opening again.
