Plumpy Bite opens on juicy plum and blackcurrant, lit from underneath by warm, faintly metallic saffron and a quick flash of bergamot. The middle turns soft and powdery as iris root rounds off every edge. Then the resins arrive: labdanum and cistus, deep amber, oud and earthy patchouli, and the whole thing turns dark, smooth and leathery.

It smells expensive and intense, with a heavy sweet-spicy trail that stays on skin and clothing. Save it for the evening - dinners, parties, date nights and special occasions through autumn, winter and spring. Men and women can both wear it.

How to wear

This one is strong, so one or two sprays on pulse points (wrists and neck) from about 15cm away is plenty. Apply to moisturised skin and don't rub, so the saffron and plum unfold cleanly. A single spray on a coat collar carries the amber and oud trail with you.
