Prime Target Trunk opens on raspberry and saffron, and that pairing does a great deal of work straight away. The fruit is tart rather than jammy, and the saffron lays a dry, slightly medicinal spice over the top of it that keeps the sweetness in line.

Rose and leather take the middle. The rose is deep and a little inky, the leather smooth rather than raw, and between them they give the fragrance its shape - darker than the opening suggested, and far more structured.

Oud and amber finish it off. Warm, resinous and faintly smoky, they settle low on the skin and let the saffron and rose keep drifting up through them.

How to wear

Spray 2-3 times on pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) from about 15cm away. Apply to moisturised skin and don't rub, so the raspberry and saffron stay sharp. A light mist on a coat collar keeps the rose, leather and amber in the trail.
