Ufuq Delicate opens on a cold swirl of pistachio gelato, nutty and green and faintly salted, with roasted hazelnut folded in behind it for depth. Cardamom gives the nuts a warm, aromatic prickle and a splash of sweet rum adds a low, syrupy glow, so the first few minutes are rich but never cloying.

Flowers keep it from being purely a dessert. Jasmine and peony bloom through the middle, one heady and one soft and papery, while raspberry and white peach thread bright juice between them. It is the fruit that does the lifting here - without it the nuts would sit heavy, and with it the whole thing stays light on its feet.

Then it melts. Whipped cream, marshmallow and candy floss build a soft, powdery cushion, and a Turkish delight accord adds a rosewater chew that ties the florals back into the sweetness. The finish is pillowy and close to the skin, the sort of scent people lean in to identify.

How to wear

Spray 2-3 times on pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) from about 15cm away. Apply to moisturised skin and don't rub, so the pistachio and cardamom keep their edge. A spray on the inside of the elbows lets the cream and Turkish delight notes warm up as you move.
