Viper Nocturnal opens on dark rum and cane sugar, sweet for a moment and then hauled straight back by cardamom and the bitter green bite of mugwort and clary sage. It is a sweetness with an edge filed onto it from the very first spray.

The middle is where it earns the name. Leather arrives with pepper close behind, fir and balsamic resin thicken the air, and styrax lays a smoky, almost tarry warmth underneath. Brooding is the honest word for it.

The dry-down goes dry and animalic. Tobacco leaf and guaiac wood take charge, castoreum adds a skin-warm, faintly feral depth, and juniper berry keeps a cold snap running through the woods so nothing turns syrupy.

How to wear

Spray 2-3 times on pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) from about 15cm away. Apply to moisturised skin and don't rub, so the rum and spice stay legible under the leather. One spray on a jacket collar carries the tobacco and guaiac wood further.
