Wadi Al Muluk Island Escape opens cool and sparkling, bergamot lifted by mint with a warming prickle of ginger just behind it. The middle turns green and fruity as melon and fig sit against dry white cedarwood, which is the piece that bridges the sharp start and the softer finish. From there it goes creamy and sun-warmed: coconut, sandalwood, tonka bean and vanilla, smooth without tipping into dessert.
